ZHO to train ADVETI employees on sign, Braille languages

Zayed Higher Organisation for Humanitarian Care and Special Needs (ZHO) and Abu Dhabi Vocational Education and Training Institute (ADVETI) will join forces to launch the first of its kind technical programme in the Arab World to train and qualify professional trainers to serve people with determination.

A cooperation agreement in this respect was signed on the sidelines of WorldSkills Abu Dhabi 2017 by Abdullah Al Humaidan,acting Secretary-General of ZHO, and Dr. Abdullah Al Hammadi, Director-General of ADVETI, in the attendance of Mubarak Al Shamsi, Director-General of the Abu Dhabi Centre for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (ACTVET), and senior officials from the two organisations.

Under the agreement, ZHO will provide training to 46 Emirati employees from ADVETI in the first phase to become professional trainers.

While ZHO will deliver training programmes that focus on sign language, special education and Braille language, ADVETI will sponsor sports programmes of the ZHO and develop its e-services and systems.

The three-year agreement is part of the strategic project of Abu Dhabi Plan 2016 - 2020 which the ZHO is implementing in regards to vocational qualification.

Trainers will obtain a certified trainer certificate from the National Qualification Authority.
