Harper Beckham: The best moments from David and Victoria's daughter on her 8th birthday

The Beckham family have another celebration on the cards today as Victoria and David Beckham’s only daughter Harper turns eight years old today. There’s no doubt that there’s going to be a big party lined up for her, as her previous birthdays have included visits to Buckingham Palace and huge unicorn cakes.

As the youngest child of Britain’s celebrity royal couple, Harper Seven Beckham has brought out a softer side to the entire Beckham family (including her brothers Romeo and Brooklyn). From convincing David to do some arts and crafts to twinning with her mother, here’s eight of her best moments.

What came first, the Wintour or the Becks? As one of the lucky few kids to score an invite to fashion week, Harper attended her mother’s London Fashion Week show with a sleek fringed bob. In a move that could only have been fate, Harper was seated next to the woman who popularised the hairstyle - American Vogue editor Anna Wintour - and the pair had a twin off.

It wasn’t lost on Harper’s father David Beckham either, as he took to Instagram stories to post a photo of the pair from behind asking, “Harper & Anna/Who wore it better/Both amazing”.

For her sixth birthday, the Beckhams made sure Harper had a present she would never forget. After dressing Harper up in a Cinderella costume, she was taken to Buckingham Palace to meet a real life princess: Princess Eugenie. She and several of her friends (all wearing their best finery and one inevitable Elsa dress) posed for pictures with the Queen's granddaughter.

After some backlash, David posted another picture to Instagram and clarified, “Just to be clear this wasn’t the palace opening the gates for Harper’s birthday party, this was a tea party where us and other guests were invited so it was a beautiful thing to do with My mum, Harper plus a few school friends… We were honored to be able to be there.”

Harper is an avid football player and she got to cheer on some of her idols earlier this year. She and her father watched the English Lionesses take on Norway at the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup and she watched with rapt attention as she clutched a football to her chest. She also was seen cheering and doing the wave, plus she got to meet the team behind the scenes as well.

Standing in the midst of the entire team, Harper proudly showed off her matching Lionesses tee in a post on Instagram. David wrote, “As you can see Harper was so excited to meet the team & is so excited for the game.... Come On England”

David Beckham clearly has a soft spot for his daughter and was snapped by his wife Victoria, poring over a set of instructions. The footballer was seen meticulously sewing a pink and blue piece of felt and Victoria revealed, “Harper has daddy stitching her dollies dresses!!!”

We only wish we’d gotten to see how they turned out.

At the tender age of one, Harper was already one of the best-dressed kids around. Back in 2012, she and her mother were photographed wearing Becks’ signature black hue - only Harper took it to the next level in a dramatic cape and matching hairslides.

David posted a sweet photo from inside the Beckhams’ home, which showed Harper hard at work cooking in the kitchen. Calling her his “little chef”, he revealed she was making a bacon sandwich and told Gordon Ramsay to “watch out” in the comments.

Whether Harper actually bought David a nearly £5k Louis Vuitton wine case remains to be seen, but her father was over the moon about it anyway. David took to Instagram to post a picture of the luxe wine case and an engraved silver key fob, which read, “Daddy’s wine cellar Love Harper! X o x o x”

She certainly has good taste.

Harper pulled her best budding diva in 2014, when she looked completely and utterly unimpressed by the crowd of people who had packed out to see the Beckhams.

She was carried out by her very dapper father and was the picture of a vintage movie star, wearing a faux fur coat and ballet flats as she scowled at the camera.
