Residents at a Swindon care home celebrated Mother's Day with an afternoon tea party.

The event at Barchester Healthcare's White Lodge care home in Braydon brought together residents and their families around decorated tables.

They enjoyed a selection of treats made by the home's culinary and hospitality team.

Singer-songwriter D'Artagnan Arbuah performed at the event, entertaining attendees with love songs and uplifting melodies.

The care home was decorated with floral arrangements and bunting for the occasion.

General manager Ramona Gherendi said: "It was truly a wonderful day.

"Seeing our residents enjoying quality time with their families over a delicious afternoon tea prepared by our talented chefs was incredibly heart-warming.

"These moments of connection are what make our community so special."

White Lodge care home provides nursing, residential, and dementia care for respite residents and longer-term care.

The home also has a life enrichment programme to keep residents active, with a daily choice of activities tailored to residents’ interests and abilities.
